Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Lab Technician to perform analytical testing of industrial chemicals in a quality assurance lab at the Enoree, SC site. The role reports to the Plant Chemist/Lab Leader and supports process control, troubleshooting, and customer requirements.

The position requires night shift availability (7P–7A), a HS diploma or GED (advanced education preferred), and 2+ years in a lab environment with SAP & LIMS experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of lab environment experience or technical lab internships.
• Experience with testing data in SAP & LIMS systems.
• Experience in manufacturing quality control lab is a plus.
• Ability to be self-directed and take initiative; high integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Tests all samples submitted by production including Polymer, Resin Packaged, Shipping, Merchandise Returns, and any incoming Tank Trucks; finished goods and in-process samples as needed.
• Performs quality control tests to verify measurements are precise and accurate, including rechecks and calibration standards.
• Communicates approval status of analyzed products to quality management, production, and shipping to expedite disposition; contacts technical service for out-of-spec shipments during night hours if needed.
• Charts and graphs data to monitor test equipment and standards; maintains equipment and keeps it calibrated; reports issues to supervision.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the lab area.
• Collaborates with Lab Team Member/Shift Partner to cover NIGHT SHIFT 7P-7A and communicate across shifts.
