Job summary

Datwyler in the United States is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Quality Control team. You will perform end-to-end analytical testing of raw materials and finished packaging components in a controlled ISO 7 cleanroom, contributing to compliance with global cGMP standards.

The role involves microbiological and chemical testing (FTIR, moisture, endotoxin), data entry in SAP/LIMS, and using Minitab for RCA investigations. This is a Sunday-Thursday 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry preferred.
• 1–3 years in a regulated lab (Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device).
• Hands-on cleanroom gowning and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily microbiological and particulate monitoring of water systems and cleanrooms (ISO 7+).
• Identify and report environmental trends to prevent microbial excursions.
• Perform chemical/physical testing on materials and batches (FTIR, moisture, sulfides).
• Run specialized tests (coring/fragmentation, penetration force, seal integrity).
• Carry out bioburden, endotoxin (LAL), and sub-visible particle testing with automated equipment.
• Maintain lab records as Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, and Accurate.
• Use SAP and LIMS for batch release and data entry.
• Apply statistics (Minitab) for RCA and OOS investigations.
• Assist in IQ/OQ/PQ qualification of new instruments.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical equipment.
