Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Reston, VA. The role covers care during labor and delivery, including C-sections, with emphasis on high-acuity situations and magnesium IV therapies. You will work the 19:00–07:00 shift, monitor fetal status, and provide postpartum education.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications, plus prior L&D experience. Scrub/circulating OR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and BLS certification.
• ACLS and NRP certifications required.
• Experience in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit.
• Previous scrub and circulating roles in the OR is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in labor management and delivery processes, including vaginal births and C-sections.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage maternal conditions during labor.
• Administer medication and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Provide postpartum care and education to new mothers.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
