Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking a Hood Cleaning Technician to clean, inspect, and maintain commercial kitchen hoods and ducts, ensuring NFPA 96 compliance and safety.

You will work directly with clients to deliver high-quality service and maintain equipment functionality. Responsibilities include cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining kitchen ventilation systems, documenting work with reports and photos, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience with specialized cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and reliability.
• Basic understanding of kitchen ventilation systems and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Hood and duct cleaning per NFPA 96 and local fire codes.
• Inspect ventilation systems and report issues or hazards.
• Prepare service reports with before-and-after photos.
• Communicate with clients to schedule service and discuss findings.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow PPE protocols.
• Assist with other tasks to support the team.
