Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking a Hood Cleaning Technician to ensure safety and compliance of commercial kitchen ventilation systems. You will clean, inspect, and maintain hoods and ducts per NFPA 96, working with clients to deliver high-quality service.

This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Standard hours Sunday–Thursday 6 p.m.–4 a.m., with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Experience with cleaning equipment and NFPA 96 relationships is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean kitchen hoods, ducts, filters, and exhaust fans per NFPA 96.
• Inspect ventilation systems and report fire hazards.
• Prepare detailed service reports with before-and-after photos.
• Communicate with clients to schedule service and discuss findings.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
