Job summary
Kept Companies is seeking a Hood I.Q. Technician to perform monthly and quarterly hood and exhaust system cleaning for restaurants and commercial kitchens. You will ensure NFPA 96 compliance and safety, while delivering high-quality service and maintaining equipment.
The ideal candidate is professional, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently in the field. Travel is involved, with occasional overnight stays, and you will use mobile apps for reporting.
Qualifications
- Must be mechanically inclined and safety-focused.
- Experience in hood cleaning or related fields preferred.
- Able to use mobile apps and digital reporting tools.
- Ability to work evenings, overnights, and some weekends.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled hood and exhaust cleaning services monthly and quarterly.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 96 and fire safety requirements.
- Inspect exhaust systems and document deficiencies for management review.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement in-field solutions.
- Safely install or de-install equipment at customer locations.
- Complete work orders and digital documentation.
