Job summary

Ark in Marion, IA is seeking an IT Support Specialist to respond to client inquiries for technical assistance and ensure courteous, timely resolution of issues. You will perform remote desktop and server support, triage requests, document resolutions, and escalate with staff as needed to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CS/IS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ year experience in customer service role providing technical support.
• ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification preferred, or ITIL experience.
• IT-related certifications preferred (CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, CCNA or Microsoft).
• Above average desktop/laptop/network/hardware/software/application troubleshooting skills.
• Windows Server Technologies, VMware, Active Directory, O365 experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial analysis and triage for issues reported through phone calls, monitoring alerts, or service portal.
• Monitor critical infrastructure and security systems and provide remote hands support.
• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, by phone, or electronically based on urgency.
• Diagnose, research, and resolve technical hardware, software, application, and performance issues; escalate as needed.
• Update users on status, document resolutions and follow up per policy/standards.
• Assist with maintenance activities including Microsoft servers.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity and quality of work to increase efficiency.
• Create process and support documentation to improve first call resolutions.
• Apply knowledge to the business and provide value-added service to clients.
• Support teamwork and collaboration to achieve team goals.
