Job summary

Digital Hands in Tampa, FL is seeking a Tier 1 IT Security Analyst to join our NOC/SOC. You will monitor customer environments, respond to security alerts, and triage incidents as the first line of defense for our enterprise clients.

You will investigate events across firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and other security tools, coordinate with teams, and help maintain high service levels while delivering outstanding customer support in a fast-paced MSSP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years in IT, network, help desk, or cybersecurity.
• Experience with Windows desktop/server environments preferred.
• Experience with endpoint protection technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer environments and respond to network, infrastructure, and security alerts generated by monitoring and management platforms.
• Investigate and triage security events from firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM platforms, endpoint security tools, and other security technologies.
• Create, update, and remediate incident tickets through the service management platform, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Execute searches and analytical queries across SIEM and endpoint security platforms to identify suspicious or malicious activity.
• Leverage threat intelligence and open-source resources to analyze alerts, validate threats, and implement containment actions such as firewall blocks.
• Perform scheduled reviews of network infrastructure and security appliances to ensure availability and optimal performance.
• Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding incidents, requests, and operational updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and the overall customer experience.
