Job summary

The University of Chicago Medicine is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse for a Registry role at the Crown Point facility in Indiana. The IP RN will perform primary nursing functions for patients of all ages in the Inpatient Unit, collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality care and optimal outcomes.

Required qualifications include an Indiana RN license, at least 3 years of hospital progressive care or ICU experience, and BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital progressive care or ICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, perform and evaluate patient care in the Inpatient Unit.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff and front office teams to ensure high-quality care and patient outcomes.
• Document services thoroughly and timely in the medical record.
• Collect specimens, perform lab-related tasks and follow CLIA regulations.
• Serve as case manager for patients under their care.
