Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN seeks a full-time Pharmacy Technician for the inpatient unit. The role includes night shifts (7 on/7 off) with proactive dispensing system maintenance and sterile/non-sterile compounding by strict safety standards.

You will manage inventory, receive supplies, and support pharmacists in distributive services while triaging complex inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Pharmacy Tech registration or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire date.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentials from NHA or PTCB prior to hire date are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; professional licensure can substitute education/experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain automated dispensing systems to ensure secure medication access for clinical units.
• Accurately prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds and repackage medications per safety standards.
• Oversee inventory, receive supplies, and ensure stock meets regulatory storage requirements.
• Serve as a primary contact, triaging inquiries and providing vital information to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Partner with Pharmacists to deliver distributive services and maintain technical pharmacy integrity.
