Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy within 3 months of hire date.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board obtained prior to hire.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain automated dispensing systems to ensure seamless, secure medication access for clinical units.
• Accurately prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds and repackage medications according to strict CPhT safety standards.
• Manage the pharmacy's lifeblood by overseeing inventory, receiving supplies, and ensuring all stock meets regulatory storage requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of contact, triaging complex inquiries and providing vital information to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Partner with Pharmacists to deliver high-level distributive services and maintain the technical integrity of the pharmacy department.
