Job summary

Kaiser Permanente's Manteca Medical Center is seeking a pharmacist to oversee medication therapy for inpatients and ambulatory patients. You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, dispense and compound medications, and ensure accurate recordkeeping in the electronic medical record.

You will provide dosing guidance, review lab results for drug safety, and participate in rounds and education programs with pharmacists, residents, and technicians.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutic principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in medical settings.
• Ability to interpret laboratory data and patient information for medication therapy.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and medical staff on medication therapy.
• Dispense, compound, procure, store, and distribute pharmacy products.
• Document in the electronic medical record and ensure accurate transcription of orders.
• Provide dosing guidance and drug information to medical staff and patients.
• Supervise and train Pharmacist Residents, Interns, and Technicians.
• Participate in patient-care rounds and quality management programs.
