Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. operates Summit Oaks Hospital, a 126-bed inpatient behavioral health facility in New Jersey. The Mental Health Associate will join the treatment team, delivering continuous patient care, supervising and modeling appropriate interactions across age groups from preschool to geriatrics.

This night shift role runs three days a week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include vital signs, educational groups, and responding to codes, with

Qualifications

• B.S. in a health-related field with one year of psychiatric experience or two years in a psychiatric setting with related continuing education.
• Psychiatric inpatient experience for adults, adolescents and dual populations preferred.
• Must maintain CPR, First Aid, Verbal De-escalation and Handle with Care Certifications (provided by the hospital).

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling.
• Monitor patients across units and ages as assigned.
• Take vital signs, conduct educational groups, and respond to codes.
