Job summary

Summit Oaks Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Associate to join the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling for patients from preschool to geriatrics on assigned units.

You will take vital signs, lead educational groups, and respond to codes while supporting nursing staff across adult psych, dual diagnosis, child/adolescent, detox and rehab units. This is a full-time, day-shift role with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a health-related field with one year of psychiatric experience, preferably inpatient.
• Psychiatric inpatient experience for Adults, Adolescents and Dual populations preferred.
• Must maintain CPR and First Aid, Verbal De-escalation and Handle with Care Certifications provided by the Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Active part of the treatment team providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling for patients across age ranges.
• Take vital signs, conduct educational groups, and respond to codes as needed.
• Support nursing units including adult psych, dual diagnosis, child/adolescent, detox, and rehab with patient care and supervision.
