Job summary

New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a skilled IT professional to monitor and manage mainframe environments (z/OS, CICS) and batch processing on a 3-day/12-hour night shift (8 p.m. – 8 a.m.). Regular attendance at the worksite is required, with up to 3 remote days under a hybrid schedule.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least one year of IT operations experience; a related bachelor’s or associate degree or credit hours can substitute for experience. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; one year of experience in network operations or IT support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor & manage z/OS consoles and CICS regions.
• Monitor & manage batch scheduling and batch processing.
• Monitor operating systems performance.
• Monitor statewide data networks.
• Initiate problem/incident reports and elevate as required.
• Maintain a secure data center environment.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Maintain documentation and turnover reporting.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and exercises.
