Job summary

Amcor in Saint Helens, Oregon is seeking a maintenance technician to keep molding and packaging equipment in top condition. You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and work safely on heavy equipment during 12-hour shifts.

Starting pay is $35.00–$40.00 per hour DOE plus a $3.50 shift differential, with pay progression after 90 days. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and sick time, plus opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an industrial maintenance/manufacturing environment.
• Electrical background preferred.
• Injection molding machine abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with maintenance staff to keep equipment in top condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and optic systems.
• Read PLC information to diagnose problems.
• Log all work performed and maintain clean work areas.

Skills

Industrial maintenance experience

Electrical background

Dexterity with hand tools

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Strong written and verbal skills

Education

High school diploma or GED
