Job summary

Optical Cable Corporation, Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the production team on the night shift. You will set up, maintain, and repair industrial machinery to keep equipment running safely and with minimal downtime.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience; MT1 certification is desirable. You will read drawings, diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and document work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and repair machinery according to specifications.
• Observe machines for signs of malfunction and diagnose problems quickly.
• Study blueprints, sketches, and specs to determine repair approaches.
• Dismantle and reassemble machines to replace or repair parts.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document work.
