Optical Cable Corporation in Roanoke, VA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to set up, assemble, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery. This role requires reading blueprints, following safety procedures, and performing preventive maintenance to keep production lines running smoothly. You will work a 6:00 p.m.

– 6:00 a.m. shift, Monday through Thursday with overtime potential. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of related maintenance experience, MT1 or industrial maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related maintenance experience preferred.
• MT1 and/or industrial maintenance certification desirable; military/technical training considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain machinery.
• Diagnose malfunctions by observing equipment and studying schematics.
• Dismantle and reassemble machines to replace defective parts.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document parts used.
• Lubricate machine tools and equipment; follow safety procedures.
