Job summary

Fiber Global is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production with preventative and recovery maintenance on heavy equipment and automated systems. The role involves diagnosing PLC faults, performing mechanical repairs, welding, and coordinating with production teams to ensure smooth material flow.

The technician will operate forklifts, assist with routine maintenance, and contribute to safety and quality standards across shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–5 years in a manufacturing environment maintaining heavy equipment.
• Experience with downtime-focused preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Willingness to work weekends and rotating shifts to support troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and recovery maintenance on mechanical equipment including motors and drives.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using manuals, schematics and other resources.
• Operate production equipment and forklifts per safety standards.
• Stage materials for production and outbound logistics.
• Support senior technicians and participate in equipment maintenance programs.
• Conduct basic welding (MIG) and diagnostic tasks as required.
• Create maintenance documentation to support production and engineering teams.
