Job summary

U.S. Pipe is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment/machinery is functioning properly and performing routine preventative maintenance of equipment system prioritizing work based on need. The technician will perform routine adjustments and calibrations to machinery and will follow up with a Production Technician on any diagnostics needed to perform a repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or completed apprenticeship.
• Experience reading drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions and participate in repairs, installation, and inspections.
• Inspect plant equipment for defects and repair as needed.
• Dismantle, assemble, maintain, and lubricate plant machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment uptime.
• Fabricate and weld for maintenance projects and emergencies.
• Interpret blueprints and sketches for repairs.
• Test and seal joints and install piping systems as required.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
