Job summary

Dessert Holdings, a leading premium dessert company, seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift in Humble, TX. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills, PLC troubleshooting, 480V systems, VFDs, motors, and sensors, with awareness of SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong electrical focus, or completion of a two-year technical degree with relevant hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience in an industrial manufacturing or automated equipment environment.
• Proven experience troubleshooting 480V electrical systems.
• Proven experience with VFDs and NPN/PNP sensors in complex automation and control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical production equipment.
• Must be able to successfully complete HACCP Certification.
• Must have a Forklift License or be able to complete required training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of industrial maintenance activities, including complex electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and automated control systems, identifying faults and diagnosing issues.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems up to 480 volts.
• Troubleshoot and repair VFDs, sensors, motors, and motor controls.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-control failures.
• Read electrical diagrams, schematics, OEM drawings, and equipment manuals to support repairs.
• Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance activities as scheduled to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis for equipment and process failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Train and assist operators with basic maintenance techniques.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
• Follow SQF, HACCP, GMP, and quality requirements.
