Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in La Mirada, CA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician IV to support our corrugated packaging facility. You will apply skills in industrial electrical, process controls, and mechanical crafts to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

As part of the Reliability Team, you will perform preventive maintenance, respond to downtime, document work in the CMMS, and collaborate with operations to improve uptime and profitability.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Experience using diagnostic software to load/modify PLC programs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Lenze).
• Experience repairing power transmission systems and reading electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by following plant policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with operations to troubleshoot issues, restore equipment, and prevent repeat failures.
• Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability.
• Respond promptly to unplanned downtime with focused troubleshooting and repairs.
• Document daily work in the CMMS with time, parts used, and comments.
• Apply high-level knowledge of industrial electrical and process control systems.
