Alter Metal Recycling in Eau Claire, WI is hiring an Industrial Maintenance person for the night shift (Mon-Thu, 5:45pm–5:45am). The role maintains production by servicing conveyors, grinders, and related equipment, with some Fridays as needed. Compensation is $30.00–$31.80 per hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities include PMs on sorting lines and systems, diagnostics, and minor electrical or welding tasks. The candidate will work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs and ensure safe, efficient

Qualifications

• Perform basic arithmetic including ratios and percentages.
• Familiarity with yard vehicles and material separators is a plus.
• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant productivity by proactively managing maintenance tasks.
• Ensure proper parts inventory and maintain facility equipment.
• Perform PMs on downstream sorting lines, conveyors, and machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, and PLCs.
• Schedule maintenance with operations and keep maintenance records updated.
