Job summary

Alter Metal Recycling seeks an Industrial Maintenance employee for the night shift at its Eau Claire, WI facility. The role focuses on keeping equipment operating, performing PMs, diagnostics, and minor repairs on conveyors, motors, pumps, and related systems.

The candidate will work Mon-Thu 5:45pm–5:45am with possible Friday shifts. Requirements include basic arithmetic, familiarity with yard vehicles, and the ability to lift 30–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• The role requires basic arithmetic functions and ability to perform unit conversions.
• Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklifts, loaders and material separators is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant productivity by proactively managing maintenance function.
• Ensure proper parts inventory.
• Maintain facility equipment.
• Perform PMs on conveyors, lines and machines.
• Diagnostics and minor repairs to industrial equipment (mobile equipment, forklifts, loaders, skid steers, trucks).
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair machinery and plant equipment.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and electric systems, PLCs, valves, cylinders, bearings, motors.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records and daily reports.
• Coordinate and review work, provide on‑the‑job training.
• Order parts, welding, fabrication, and minor electrical repairs as needed.
• Perform other related duties or special projects.

Full Time Production Eau Claire, WI, US

Salary Range: $30.00 To $31.80 Hourly

Alter Metal Recycling is looking for a IndustrialMaintenanceemployee on night shift at its Eau Clair, WI facility. Industrial Maintenance employees play a crucial role in our operation. As an Industrial Maintenance employee you will keep our facility equipment operating by performing work on conveyors, changing motor boxes, changing bearings and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Hours:Monday through Thursday, 5:45pm - 5:45am. Fridays possible based on operational needs.

Summary:

• Maintains plant productivity by proactively managing maintenance function.
• Ensure proper parts inventory
• Maintain facility equipment
• Performing PM’s on:
  • Downstream sorting lines, conveyors and machines.
  • Diagnostics and minor repairs to industrial type of equipment including Mobile Equipment, Forklifts, front end loaders, skid steers, truck & Trailers.
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work for machinery and various plant equipment e.g. Eddy Current Separator, System Conveyors, Trommels, etc.
• Knowledge on system conveyers is necessary.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and electric systems, PLC, valves, cylinders, bearings, and electric motors.
• Check with key operations (forklift, loader, and separator) to be sure all equipment is running properly; and schedule maintenance as required.
• Prepare and maintain all maintenance records, and daily reports.
• Assign, review, and check work of maintenance done by employees, providing on-the-job training as needed; eliminate ordinary work difficulties.
• May be involved in a variety of other responsibilities including ordering of parts, welding, fabricating and performance electrical repairs (minor).
• Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Safety:

Wears all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Compute ratio, rate and percent.
• Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders, and material separators a definite plus
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 – 50 pounds.

PAY RATE:$30-$31.80
