Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas seeks an Electrician Craftsman 1 for plan, lay-out, install and test of wiring, fixtures, motors and control systems in an industrial setting. You will interpret drawings and use a range of hand and power tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.

The role requires installing conduit, performing terminations, and working with high and low voltage systems, while maintaining safety and adherence to plans and codes. Overtime and shift hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrician Craftsman 1 in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, sketches, plans and determines work procedures and tools needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; welds supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus and fastens in place.
• Test and start up systems and continuity of circuits for safety and compatibility.
• Observes equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• May pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Work with high and low voltage systems.
• Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
• Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic and pneumatic tools.
