Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrician Craftsman in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, plans and determines best work procedures, tools and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
• Measures, installs and terminates electrical conduit, cable and duct banks; lays out and mounts components.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus and fastens in place; tests systems for safety and compatibility.
• Observes functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments or replacement.
• May be required to pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Works with high and low voltage systems; operates varied electrical and mechanical hand tools.
