Job summary

PITT OHIO is hiring for a Full Time Dockworker-Inbound at our Marcy, NY location. The role requires loading/unloading freight, handling shipments safely, and complying with DOT and company procedures. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 12 AM start.

Pay starts at USD 25.74/hour with a top rate of 28.89 after six months. We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and profit sharing, paid time off, and a respectful work environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass a NON-DOT physical examination
• Pre-employment drug screen with negative result
• Ability to read and write English and perform simple mathematical calculations
• Ten-year work history check with any gaps explained
• At-will employment with Pitt Ohio

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight according to DOT requirements by hand or with hand truck/dolly
• Sort and secure items on trucks or dock to prevent damage
• Use carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and tow motors for material handling
• Perform lifting of cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipes and other items
• Follow safety rules and company regulations to minimize risk
• Complete daily paperwork related to job duties
• Be available and willing to work; exceptions require management approval
• Perform other duties as directed
