Job summary

PITT OHIO Express LLC in Latham, NY is seeking a Part-Time Dockworker-Inbound to load and unload freight per DOT guidelines and keep docks safe and organized. Shift begins Monday–Friday at 4:00 AM, with potential progression as you gain experience and reach the top rate after 6 months.

We value teamwork, safety and reliability. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a non-DOT physical, with strong English reading/writing and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Non-DOT physical examination required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight according to DOT requirements, by hand or using hand truck/dolly.
• Read shipping labels and follow loading instructions with accuracy.
• Sort and secure items on trucks or dock to prevent damage.
• Operate carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and tow motors as needed.
• Stand, walk, push, pull and lift heavy items as part of daily duties.
