Job summary

PITT OHIO in Hamilton, NJ is hiring a Part Time Dockworker-Outbound to support outbound freight operations. The role runs Monday to Friday with a 5 PM start, offering competitive pay and a respectful, people-first environment.

You’ll work with well-maintained equipment and have opportunities after six months to move to the top rate of 28.89 per hour. Responsibilities include loading and unloading freight, reading shipping labels, processing paperwork, and adhering to DOT and company safety

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must consent to a ten-year work history check.
• At-will employee relationship with Pitt Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight by hand or with hand truck/dolly according to DOT requirements.
• Sort and secure items on trucks or dock to prevent damage.
• Handle lifting of cartons, bags, crates, drums, boxes, etc.
• Use carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and tow motors as needed.
• Work safely and professionally to minimize risk to self and others.
• Process daily paperwork related to the job.
• Be available and willing to work; management approval for exceptions.
