RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the RWJUH Somerset Intensive Coronary Care unit. The role focuses on patient assessment, safe medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to ensure timely, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ASN or Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred and to be completed within five years.
• 1–2 years of Critical Care nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe medications, treatments and hands-on care with strong clinical judgement.
• Partner with physicians and providers to support coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the EMR (EPIC) to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborative teamwork.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement.
• Pursue continuing education and career growth opportunities.
