Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the on-site Surgical Trauma ICU and Neuro ICU. The role is part-time, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, supporting acutely ill patients and performing basic care tasks, EKGs, and venipuncture under RN direction.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS/ACLS/PALS per policy, and an appropriate PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification. Per diem and full-time opportunities may be available depending on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as required by the employer.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings or nursing programs helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic care to acutely ill patients.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Perform EKGs and Venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.
