Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ is seeking an Associate Patient Care Aide for the 11:00 PM–7:30 AM shift.

The role provides basic daily living assistance to acutely ill patients and helps maintain a safe, clean environment, while performing EKGs and Venipuncture under RN direction. This on-site position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 6 months, and relevant PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification or enrollment in nursing education.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required or pursued per policy.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification or nursing school enrollment with related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the RN.
