Job summary

Magnum Ice Cream Co. in Covington, KY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support production by repairing and maintaining packaging and process equipment in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least three years of industrial maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred), plus technical training or an apprenticeship. Night shifts are required, and NOCTI may be requested for onsite interviews.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in mechanical/technical field or one year of technical training or an approved apprentice program preferred.
Minimum of three years industrial maintenance experience; food manufacturing experience preferred.
Must be able to pass NOCTI exam if selected to interview onsite.

Responsibilities

Responds to equipment problems and repairs to minimize downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance on packaging/processing equipment.
Test and observe operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
Dismantle and reassemble equipment components for repair or replacement.
Replace faulty relays, switches, motors and position sensing devices.
Monitor meters/temperatures and calibrate as needed.
Maintain maintenance logs and work orders.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment using diagnostic tools.
Use voltmeters, mega-ohm meters, and probes for electrical diagnostics.
Other duties as assigned.
