Job summary

MMR Group, Inc. seeks a Project HSE Technician for our Spartanburg, SC site. This full-time role includes a night shift (6pm–4:30am) with $47/hour pay and a $950/week per diem. The candidate will conduct orientations, perform field inspections, and support safety programs across projects.

Required OSHA 500, HS Diploma or equivalent, and 3–5 years of HSE technician experience in electrical environments. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience as an HSE technician in Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Safety Coordinator and/or Branch Office Safety Coordinator.
• Conduct New Hire Orientation and Site-Specific Orientation (MMR Orientation, Site Safety Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, and PPE).
• Accompany injured employees to Medical Facilities for treatment and Case Management as directed.
• Perform field inspections and audits (JSEA’s, Equipment Inspections, Ground Assurance, safety equipment, fire extinguishers, ladders, field observations).
• Participate in MMR’s Behavioral Based Safety Program, performing observations and providing feedback.
• Enter BBS Observation details into the BBS Observation Database.
• Assist with entering site training in the MMR M-Files database for record retention.
• Perform on-site coaching and follow-ups to ensure training understanding.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and enforce Life Critical Policies.
• Correct unsafe acts or conditions and participate in daily JSEA and toolbox meetings.
• Work with Supervisors to ensure Safe Work Practices are followed and stay current on HS&E policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in accident investigations and implement corrective actions as directed.
• Inspect tools and safety equipment including arc flash and shock protection.
• Perform monthly inspections of Site Office, Tool and Calibration Trailers, and safety gear.
• Attend required refresher training and comply with company rules.
