Job summary

MMR Group, Inc. seeks an HSE Project Technician for Apple Grove, WV. This full-time, 60-hour work week role requires OSHA 30, a 5-year electrical HSE background, and the ability to conduct orientation and on-site safety activities at the Apple Grove site.

Work involves field inspections, safety coaching, incident support, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and NFPA standards. Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 required; HS Diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years of electrical HSE experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• OSHA 500/510 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Safety Coordinator or Branch Office Safety Coordinator.
• Conduct orientations (MMR orientation, Site Safety Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, PPE).
• Assist in site safety inspections, audits, and recordkeeping (JSEA, equipment inspections, safety gear).
• Participate in MMR’s Behavioral Based Safety program and enter observation data.
• Assist with site training records in MMR’s electronic database (M-Files).
• Perform on-site coaching and follow-ups to ensure training uptake.
• Ensure adherence to Life Critical Policies and safe work practices; enforce safety rules.
• Stay current on MMR HS&E policies and regulatory requirements (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA).
• Assist in accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Inspect tools and safety equipment; perform monthly site office and trailer inspections.
