Job summary

LabCorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing, is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, data entry, billing support, and travel to additional sites.

Strong customer service and flexibility are essential. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; a year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
