Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30pm - 7:00am with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collecting specimens for drug screens and tests, data entry, processing billing, preparing specimens for testing, and providing exceptional patient service. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and patient specimen collection.
• Customer service and communication with patients.
• Data entry and basic clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
