Job summary

UPMC Hanover is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeping Associate to maintain patient rooms, public areas, and equipment in accordance with hospital standards. Schedule: Days (every other weekend and holiday required).

No contact with medications; safety and sanitation protocols must be followed. Responsibilities include making beds, restocking supplies, cleaning patient rooms and restrooms, inspecting areas for cleanliness, and reporting issues to supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to use housekeeping equipment.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness and report problems to supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Clean all assigned areas including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition and report issues.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets as assigned.
