Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook hot and cold meals using standardized recipes to meet daily service needs. You will maintain clean work areas, monitor temperatures, and collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver quality dining for patients and staff.

This full-time night shift (6pm–2:30am) offers weekend differential of $1 per hour and an 18% shift differential after 9pm, with opportunities to contribute to a high-quality hospital dining program.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience in production cooking.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and recipes.
• Capable of math calculations and understanding safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot and cold items using standardized recipes.
• Plan daily work to meet production and service times.
• Record production quantities and manage over/under production.
• Check and log temperatures; report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain par levels and rotate stock; restock as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; support other staff.
