Qualifications

• One or more years of work experience in production cooking.
• Ability to learn policies and procedures, read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Must obtain/maintain food handler certification and follow safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks hot and cold food items using approved recipes and production forecasts.
• May work in the restaurant cafe grill area or cook breakfast items.
• Records over production and run outs; writes directions and quantities.
• Checks temperatures and logs equipment; reports problems to supervisor.
• Maintains par levels and restocks items as needed.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Assists other kitchen and dietary staff and may supervise the shift.
• Follows established procedures under supervision.
