Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks a full-time Night Cook at Premier Health in Dayton, OH. Shift is 8:30 pm to 5:00 am with rotating weekends and holidays, offering a 15% night-shift differential and opportunities to contribute to high-quality meals in a healthcare setting.

The role prepares food to standard recipes, ensures safety and quality, and supports kitchen operations. Previous culinary experience preferred; online applications accepted only.

Qualifications

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, meeting production and service schedules.
• Serves meals and prepares for delivery with correct portioning and presentation.
• Uses established ticketing procedures and maintains records during service periods.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neatly stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed and assists in ordering and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals and prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and arranged nicely.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked during service periods.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
