Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center is seeking a Nurse Manager to facilitate patient flow 24/7, supervise staff, and ensure efficient bed coordination and hospital operations. The role focuses on optimizing patient care delivery, staff management, and collaboration with department leadership to maintain service levels.

The candidate should have a West Virginia RN license, 5 years of nursing experience (hospital setting preferred), and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice Registered Professional Nursing in West Virginia (RN).
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Make administrative decisions on complex situations affecting hospital operations (bed coordination, patient care, public relations, and financial issues).
• Notify House Supervisor when decisions require escalation; validate and document outcomes.
• Coordinate emergency responses (power failure, disasters, fires) and keep House Supervisor informed of status.
