Job summary

Bristol Hospice Columbus is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as a night-shift RN for after-hours and weekend coverage. This full-time Graveyard shift offers a salary in the $86,000–$98,000 range with autonomy and the chance to be a steady lifeline for patients and families at critical times.

The role requires hospice knowledge, a current RN license, flexibility, travel within the Bristol Hospice service area, and the ability to use standard office software.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with knowledge of hospice and telephone triage preferred.
• Must have a current RN licensure in good standing.
• Must understand hospice philosophy and needs of the terminally ill.
• Must be flexible in work hours.
• Must be able to use common software such as word processing and spreadsheets.
• Must handle stressful situations and grieving families with compassion.
• Must be able to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice service area.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Will perform after-hours and weekend visits and admissions as needed.
• Follow up on phone calls by directing or handling immediately per scope of practice.
• Dispatch field nurses and other staff to patient residences timely.
• Refill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, and assist in coordination for patients and families.
• Document calls, conversations and outcomes in the call-tracking software.
• Receive start-of-shift reports and provide end-of-shift reports per location workflow.
• All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
