Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Florida is seeking an experienced home care registered nurse (RN) to ensure hospice patients are comfortable and to build compassionate connections with families. You will provide care in patients’ homes, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support the palliative care approach while guiding families through the end-of-life journey.

Minimum requirements include an active RN license in the state and at least two years of nursing experience in hospice or home health.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where the program is located.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered

Responsibilities

• Care for hospice patients in home settings with comfort and dignity.
• Build compassionate connections with patients and families.
• Make bedside care decisions autonomously to ensure patient comfort.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, meeting weekly at the program office.
