Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Florida is seeking a compassionate Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comfort-focused hospice care to patients in their homes. You will assess needs, manage symptoms, and coordinate with families to support dignity at the end of life.

You will make 4–6 home visits daily, collaborate weekly with an interdisciplinary team, and uphold VITAS's commitment to compassionate service, clinical excellence, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain patient welfare and build compassionate connections with patients and families.
• Participate in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings with social workers, physicians, and other nurses.
• Visit patients in their homes and coordinate care to extend comfort and dignity at end of life.
