Job summary

OakMed Hastings, MI is seeking a Night-time Home Health Aide (HHA) PRN to provide compassionate, in-home care for patients during overnight hours. You will work with nursing and coordination teams to implement care plans and ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role offers flexible schedules, a supportive team, and a chance to gain valuable healthcare experience while making a direct impact on patients' lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and legal work eligibility in the U.S.
• Experience or familiarity with home healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safety.
• Reposition patients to promote comfort and prevent skin breakdown.
• Offer companionship and emotional support while preserving dignity.
• Prepare meals and assist with basic nutrition per care plan.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain safe home environment.
• Provide medication reminders as allowed by plan; do not administer meds.
• Observe/report changes to nursing/care team and care plan.
• Assist with routine monitoring/documentation per care plan.
• Respond calmly to urgent situations and follow emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and patient needs.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and care team.
• Follow patient-specific care plans and OakMed policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and rights.
