Job summary

Velocity TruckingPros LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Yard Switcher & Shuttle Driver for a home-daily local role on our bakery fleet. You will run short 7-mile shuttle loops between the bakery plant and distribution warehouse, swap trailers, and perform hand unloads with a liftgate.

The position requires a Class A CDL with current DOT medical card, 6–12 months OTR experience, clean driving record, and ability to work night shifts with weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Location: live within 50 miles of the Phoenix hub (Zip Code: 85043).
• Experience: At least 6 months of Class A OTR in the last 12 months, OR at least 12 months of OTR in the last 5 years.
• License & Medical: Must have an active Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card.
• Background Check: No more than 4 driving jobs in the past year, zero major preventable accidents in the last 5 years, and you must pass a hair and urine drug screen.
• Not SAP Friendly.

Responsibilities

• Run short 7-mile shuttle loops between the bakery plant and the distribution warehouse.
• Swap trailers at both yards and ensure doors are locked/sealed before leaving.
• Possibly perform local store delivery runs if plant pace slows.
• Perform physical hand unloads using a liftgate for bread trays and delivery carts.
