Job summary

Velocity TruckingPros LLC seeks a CDL-A Local Yard Driver based in the Phoenix area. This night-shift role focuses on short-haul shuttle work between the bakery plant and the distribution center, with 100% home daily after each shift.

You will drive, handle live loads with a liftgate, and may take backup local deliveries to maintain full shift hours. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and a current DOT Medical Card.
• Experience requirement: 6+ months of OTR within the last 12 months, or 12 months of OTR within the last 5 years. Local Class A tractor-trailer or hostling experience counts toward this timeline.
• Safety screening: hair and urine drug analysis required. Maximum of 4 driving jobs in the past year and zero major preventable accidents within the trailing 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Yard work: swap trailers at both locations, ensure seals & locks before rolling.
• Backup runs: possibly perform local store deliveries to meet full shift hours.
• Live loads: manage live loads and unloads using liftgate equipment.
