Job summary

MedStar Health in Maryland is seeking a Histotechnologist for the night shift (8:00 PM - 4:30 AM, Mon-Fri) to prepare, fix, embed, section, and stain surgical and cytopathology specimens for microscopic diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Histotechnology or equivalent training.
• 3+ years of experience in histology is preferred.
• ASCP Histotechnician certification or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work area, equipment, and cuts/ mounts tissue specimens.
• Prepares paraffin sections and handles sectioning and staining.
• Performs routine and special stains; ensures quality control and reports issues.
