Medical Pathology Associates in Houston, TX is seeking a Histology Technician for a PRN night shift (Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00 am–7:00 am). You will produce diagnostic materials, perform grossing, embedding, and slide preparation for pathologists, and ensure quality throughout the workflow.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, with preference for NAACLS-accredited histology training and HT/HTL registration. PPE and lab safety are integral to daily tasks in a central laboratory setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NAACLS accredited Histotechnician/Histotechnologist program or related credits in biology/chemistry preferred.
• HT or HTL registration (QIHC preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Produce high-quality diagnostic materials as requested by the pathologist.
• Perform grossing, processing, embedding and H&E slides.
• Conduct special stains, recuts, deepers and other slide presentations as needed.
• Support send-out, reference or related laboratory work.
• Perform quality control and document processes using LIS, spreadsheets, and manuals.
• Maintain instrumentation and work spaces; observe PPE and safety protocols.
